memorial

weary eyes and weary smiles fade into the darkness
no escape from circling thoughts which torture from inside
memories fade and time replaces all facets of reality
which always leaves me wondering if this is even real
complications
limitations
a heart scarcely beating
no remedy for intensity or blatant lack of reason
silently spinning
the axis will not still despite the constant pleading
shout it out
lay it down
serenity evades desperate hearts and denies the unbelieving
fade into the silence
the silence
fade into the silence and sleep forvermore

the winter wind blows

the sullen sun shielded her face as she collapsed behind the curtain
the air was stale and bitter
a pale rider approached the horizon frantically seeking the warmth of the sun
too little were the attempts of the frail child searching for solace
no comfort given
steadily the child proceeded on the endless journey
stubbornly refusing the piercing chill against him
what might he find in the wilderness
what horrors await in the depths of night
the procession of snow drifts will not deter this young rider
from his quest for life
for harmony
a whisper fills the strangers void
as listlessly the winter wind blows
